Tyler Stokes
Chef/Founder
Chef Tyler Stokes has always loved noodles, from making progressive versions of Top Ramen as a kid, to opening his first restaurant Dashi in Ketchum ID, focusing on modern Japanese food. This was after a 4 year run at the acclaimed southeast Asian restaurant Globus in Sun Valley Id, where he fine tuned his love and passion for Asian flavors, techniques and disciplines.
Deciding Salt Lake City was his future and home, he moved back in 2013 to open the award winning restaurant Provisions in Millcreek Utah, a modern American restaurant where he was able to showcase his love for Utah, his native Wyoming and the Mountain West blended with Asian flavors and technique. Fresh pasta has always been a staple at Provisions, from Italian noodles to Chinese Dan Dan, his love for noodles has never stopped.
In 2019 he opened Ginger Street in collab with partner and dear friend, Michael McHenry, serving Southeast Asian street food, leaning heavily towards Thai. Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Dan Dan, Khao Soi and many more were the noodle dishes that made Ginger Street one of Chef Tyler’s favorite places to eat as well as work.
Noodlehead is a culmination of all Chef Tyler’s noodle background and an exciting part of his future, serving one of his favorite things, in a fast casual, welcoming environment, is a dream. Milllcreek Common could not be a better place to launch our ode to all things flour and water, and a celebration of memories and experiences to be had. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.
